I can do some few tricks....

After a rough day at sea on Wednesday, we decided to stick close to (home) on Thursday day. We had a hard day of swimming, catching some rays, and being creative. We continued brainstorming ideas for Lauren's piece and even came up with one of the movement motif for an important character. This was all workshopped poolside of course. Our creative juices did not stop there. We began the extravagant, multi-deminsional choreography of THE DANCE OF THE TRAVELIN' KITSOS. There may or may not be a video coming your way... So, after working hard all day, we made ourselves get out to meet a friend in town. David is here with his family visiting the island and grew up in France. He now is getting his PhD at MIT after studying undergrad at Princeton. We tried not to let our mouths drop after he calmly explained his educational background. The night was full of enlighting conversations for both parties. We dancers trying to explain our creative intentions of building dances to motivate humans, while he solves the water purification problems of the world. He was a delight and we are excited about keeping in touch with our new friend.

Time out.... we forgot a crucial/ dramatic event that occured before meeting David. Question... Does this picture of a child look threatening?

Well, looks can be deceiving. After parking "Gidget", the little red go-cart that could, we headed into town. Looking fancy. We were approached by three adorable little boys. Roughly between 6-8 years old. They just needed the time. Maria ven aqui graciously signed to them "It's 7 o'clock!" We waved goodbye with thoughts of how precious these little ones seemed... SEEMED. About that time something grabbed Bop's derriere. She screamed out of shock and Cops and Maria ven aqui turned around to see what was ailing her. "The little boy grabbed my booty!!" And Cops and Maria ven aqui laughed and laughed. Little did they know that they would soon be the victims to public harassment as well. We were attacked. There was so much grabbing, groping, and molesting that it's now all a blur. The final straw was win the little one took a running leap onto Bop's back. We are seeking counseling in the Skaithos area and think we will be able to get on the ferry in the morning. So don't worry about us being attacked by grown MALES. It's the little ones that you need to watch. Maria ven aqui has also threatened to "Dump them into the sea". Don't mess with the Spicy Spanish Rose.

Today was bittersweet. We had to say many farewells. First to the villa. It still does not seem like a real place. This was not the most difficult for us. Our goodbye to Lauren, Bettina and Susan had to happen. Three beautiful, inspiring examples of women. Not only are they supportive, but they are great listeners and were huge participants in our growing process. We learned so much from all of them in such a short period of time. So THANK YOU.

The last goodbye was to "Gidget". Bops and Gidg had a love/hate relationship, but in the end she dominated that little red go-cart. It was all about compromise, really. But after her episode in the parking lot today, the stalling and the not reversing and the not going foward... it was time to say adios. So goodbye.

After saying our farewells, we headed into town to Despina's. This is Lauren's really good friend who not only is a beatuiful painter but was sweet enough to take us three kitsos in for the night. Her place is a little dream. She showed us around and made us feel right at home. Everything about this place and the location is charming and the total "Greek" experience.

Tomorrow is an early morning as we travel to Athens. We will spend the afternoon at the Acropolis and the Parthenon. We know, we know. Tough day. We are journeying back on the FLYING CAT FERRY. Sunday we fly to Barcelona and will spend 4 days in Sant Pol de Mar with Maria's family. Next time we blog we will be "salsa-ing" our way through ESPANA!!

We had some down-time at Lauren's today and we got a little artsy-fartsy. Please reflect on these photographs and find the complex meaning in each. We need feedback. Thank you.

So again... enough talking. We hope you find these next pics inspirational because they are really deep. We will talk soon from Spain. Much love and light,

"The Travelin' Kitsos"
Bop's flexed toes are intentional not awkward.

 Our beautiful, personal photographer..... Maria.

Caution: Occasionally, you will find grammatical errors in the blog. Don't judge too hard. Cops is big on creative spelling and Bop's is not one for details and Maria... well English is her second language so cut her some SLACK! It wouldn't be our blog without some hiccups ( which Maria has been battling all day.)

Let me make you smile...

Maria is here!! We picked her up from the ferry and now the travelin' kitsos are complete. We added some Spanish "sabor" (flavor) to the mix and BOOM... we are one spicy group!! We sat down in the quaint little town of Skiathos to drink some more wine and eat some more feta. And it was delicious! Again. Here we learned that Maria ven aqui is our own road trip expert. She has been busy mapping and budgeting our trip through the south of Spain and Portugal! And we are happy kitsos. See map for detailed itinerary. This is the map of our journey after we fly to Barcelona on Sunday.

Yesterday we prepared for a party at Lauren's villa with all of her friends from Greece. We thought we had experienced "authentic" Greek cuisuine but whoa. This was delicious. We had a feast and shared stories about our backgrounds and some of Lauren's friends brought their artwork as well. As the night progressed The Three Kitsos were asked to do a guided improv on the patio as the guests watched from the terrace. We were a little hesitant because the three of us have yet to collaborate but it was a great way for us to begin this process. It turned out to be an effortless way for us to start moving together. The scenery behind us was also a plus. See picture below. Skiathos at dusk. We can't wait to buy little chairs and a table and to paint the chairs blue. Because, everyone needs some tender little blue chairs and patio table. And a view of the Aegean Sea... from a terrace.

So today we took a little adventure around the northern part of the island. This little boat/fisherman delight took us to Lalaria and Kastro. We had many boats to choose from this morning. Although it was probably the smallest, oldest boat we could have picked, one sailor tickled our fancy and we could not resist. See the epitome of a Greek god below. Our tiny tug boat made it to Lalaria before any other of the boats. When we arrived at the beautiful stone beach we were basically the only people on this tiny piece of paradise. We must say, it was SPECTACULAR. We swam, sunbathed, and looked for stones on the beach. These stones are not just any stones, and will make great souvenirs for the financially impaired kitsos. We also believe they have special powers. Like balancing on a slippery rock in the middle of the sea. See pic below.

Enough talking...we will now share some photos.

Much love and light from The Travelin' Kitsos.

Maria ven aqui and Bops solving all the world's problems ESPECIALLY the crisis in Greece.

QUESTION: Which hot guy in the speedo should we take to Spain?

                                                                         Option A
                                                                        Option B
 It's a tough decision.

ALMOST FORGOT!! We were making our descent down the mountain this morning (by the way Bops is a natural Mario Adretti) and guess who we met? THE ORIGINAL KITSOS!!!!

Just a few more teasers.

Cop's camera was all of a sudden possessed with a demon and was just taking pics right and left. We were all confused.

And now for some good ones.

Let me entertain you...

Skiathos!! ( Skee-Eye-Thos)

Well... after a lovely security check-in at Dulles (our toiletries did not quite meet FDA regulations), a "30 minute" flight to Philly aka circle the airport for 90 minutes, popping some "happy pills", 10 hr flight with 3 small bottles of chardonnay, two and half hour drive to the port in a 4 passenger car ( 6 bodies are making the journey), a 4 hr. layover to wait... outside... for the 3 hr ferry ride to Skiathos.... WE MADE IT!!

And it was worth every minute of travel and Corrie turning GREEN from the car ride.

We have had a little trouble with internet connection. But after incredible days filled with scenic views, delicious food aka FETA, wonderful company and conversations... we not only found an internet cafe (that serves wine) WE FINALLY BATHED!! Don't worry we swam in  Lauren's infinity pool a couple of times AND made it to the Aegean sea.

We wanted to share some stories and a couple of pictures that can only attempt to capture our journey so far.

Have you ever driven in Greece? Well, Bops has now. A tiny tiny little red European car. Did we mention our villa is on top of a MOUNTAIN????? Well it is. Which we are thankful because of the incredible views BUT have you ever tried to drive up a mountain in a tiny tiny red go cart? Well it involves getting stuck in the middle of a winding, steep hill with squealing tires and the smell of fire and gasoline. It all worked out though... we just "calmly" rolled back down the hill and gunned it like we were experienced Nascar drivers aka JESUS ( or some other higher existence) TOOK THE WHEEL. We think it might have been a Greek god.
We are now about to go pick up the third "kitsos" from the ferry. Maria is arriving tonight and we are pumped!! Took us a while to get this up and going but we promise to be expert bloggers/storytellers for the rest of our journey! If anything, we hope this blog will make you laugh as much as we do.

Much love and light,

Cops, Bops, and Maria ven aqui. ( Cops: Corrie, Bops : Roxie, Maria ven aqui: Maria come here)

P.S. Do you find one of these desserts particularly arousing?? I don't know about these Grecian desserts...

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!
